"An ordinary Albanian needs 20 years in court"/ Këlliçi:

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi, invited to the 'Task Force' show on SYRI TV, analyzed the problems of the justice system and the delay in trials.

Kelliçi said that it takes an ordinary Albanian 15-20 years to exhaust all levels of the judiciary. For comparison, Kelliçi took the case of the father of the former president of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Naureda Llagami, who was given a decision within 3 years and received 3 million dollars in compensation.

"If an ordinary Albanian needs 15.8 to 20 years of time to exhaust all three levels of the judiciary, I have asked a question; how is it possible that during the investigation of a suspected corruption case of the Council of Ministers related to several public buildings, where the ultimate beneficiary is citizen Carlo Bollino, how is it possible that we have encountered a judicial procedure, where the father of the former president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Naureda Llagami, is a party and I will give you the deadlines," said Këlliçi.

The gentleman in question is one of the co-owners of a public plot of land of 9500 square meters. In July 2020, they filed a lawsuit in court. The court ruled in July 2021 - 1 year in the first instance. An appeal was filed with the Administrative Appeals Court, and the decision for compensation in February 2023 for 3 million dollars was upheld.

The Property Management Agency appealed the decision to the Supreme Court, and in September 2024, the Supreme Court upheld the decision to pay $3 million in compensation to the father of the former president of the Supreme Court of Kosovo , Këlliçi said./ CNA
