EU fund for Albania to be approved tomorrow/ Commissioner Marta Kos gives the

Albania and North Macedonia are the first two countries from the Western Balkans region to receive EU funds as part of the Growth Plan program.

The European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, today congratulated Albania and North Macedonia for accelerating the process of receiving funds and pre-financing.

Kos emphasized that this acceleration aims to promote growth and improve the lives of citizens.

Kos shared this news in a post on the social network "X".

"This should spur the implementation of key reforms to boost growth, improve citizens' lives, and bring the countries closer to the EU," Kos writes.

From the 'Growth Plan', Albania has 922 million euros in loans and grants available, which will serve to implement the necessary reforms to join the EU. The funds will be gradually withdrawn depending on the projects and conditions that will be met. /CNA
