"They love us, but they also need us in the EU"/ Rama speaks about

Prime Minister Edi Rama is holding meetings in Gjirokastra today, where he is presenting the plan for Albania in the EU in 2030. Rama spoke extensively about the country's European integration process.

Rama emphasized that today Albania is closer than ever on the path of integration.

Rama said that the May 11 elections are very important because they show where the country will be in the next 4 years, in terms of membership.

Rama added that at this moment in Europe and the world, the EU loves Albania as part of it, but it also needs us, due to geopolitical turmoil.

"Reasons to be dissatisfied with things that could be done better."

Most importantly, what makes May 11th an exceptional voting day is that it shows what Albania will be like in the years to come.

These are the years that coincide with the fourth term.

These are important years for membership in the European Union.

We embarked on this path after emerging from dictatorship.

The possibility of joining the EU is real for the first time.

Not only do we want to become members of the EU, but they also want to have us in the EU as soon as possible.

This moment will not be like this forever.

"They trust us even for reasons unrelated to us, as the EU faces a turbulent war on its own borders," Rama said. /CNA
