Albin Kurti and Ditmir Bushati celebrate their birthdays today

Two political figures celebrate their birthdays today.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti turns 50 today. Kurti first emerged as a figure in October 1997, as one of the leaders of student protests in Kosovo. In July 1998, Albin Kurti collaborated as an assistant to political representative Adem Demaçi, close to the KLA group. In April 1999, during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, Albin Kurti was arrested and severely beaten by Serbian forces.

Another prominent political figure celebrating his birthday today is Ditmir Bushati. The former Foreign Minister of Albania turns 48 today.
