"Tirana is being swallowed by garbage"/ Këlliçi denounces

The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Tirana region, Belind Këlliçi, has denounced today the problem with waste on the streets of Tirana. Këlliçi says that Tirana is being swallowed up by waste.

Këlliçi has also shared images on social media showing open waste in the area near social housing in Shkozë. The photographs show the spread of waste over most of the sidewalk and road.

Këlliçi says that this is also an expression of the government's irresponsibility, of this government that, according to him, is constantly despising its citizens.

Këlliç states that this act shows once again that the Municipality of Tirana has failed in all aspects, has lost all its functions and has turned the capital into chaos.

Students in schools should learn how to preserve the environment, how to keep it clean. While students in Tirana cross over open garbage on the streets to go where the opposite should be taught, then even after completing their lessons, they return by the same route, over the same disgusting obstacle of this irresponsible government, of this government that constantly despises its citizens.

"Clearly, the Municipality of Tirana has failed in all aspects, it has lost all its functions. Everything that happens only serves to show the truth of the capitulation of this non-existent institution to the citizens. An institution that has become a hot potato that is thrown from one hand to another, which is why Tirana is in chaos," Këlliçi writes./CNA
