At 12:00, hearing for Erion Veliaj at the High Court

Today, at 12:00, the Supreme Court will review the appeal filed by Erion Veliaj.

The arrested mayor of Tirana has appealed to the High Court to change his security measure.

He is currently in custody on 13 counts, including 9 counts of corruption, 1 count of laundering proceeds of crime, 1 count of concealing assets, and 1 count of introducing prohibited items into pre-trial detention cells, as well as abuse of office.

In about 1 hour, the Supreme Court will decide whether to accept or reject the appeal made by Veliaj.

As we have reported day after day, after the date of the hearing to be held at the High Court was made public, there has been a media attack and propaganda campaign against the mayor, which, as evidenced by the wiretaps revealed by CNA, was directed from the Durrës prison cell./ CNA
