Dredha: Rama's criticisms of public spaces in Vlora serve the city

The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, stated today that the situation with the release of public spaces in the city cannot continue indefinitely, as the problem has been inherited for years.

Invited to the show 'Noë' with journalist Erla Mëhilli, Dredha revealed that fines were also imposed during this action.

Regarding criticism from Prime Minister Edi Rama, Dredha said that it is quite normal and considered it something positive.

"This situation cannot continue indefinitely, as the problem has been inherited for years. All officials working in the municipal administration must be vigilant in monitoring public spaces. Officials must be careful in following their duties, while during field inspections we realized that some of them had not fulfilled their mission. Measures have been taken with fines, while businesses themselves have taken the step to vacate the spaces they had occupied or, in other words, taken hostage. We are thinking of unifying the tents to bring them up to standard, as was foreseen in the Lungomare project. We conducted an analysis, as we coordinate work with the government for the good of the city and exchange ideas and opinions. The request for accountability is more than normal on the part of the prime minister, because he has the good will to serve the city. There is nothing problematic in this part, on the contrary, it is something positive. It is not true that the prime minister has asked the directors to resign, nor has he met," said Dredha. /CNA
