The Greek Ambassador to Tirana, Konstantina Kamitsi, shared excerpts from her three years in office in Albania.

Invited to "Euronews Albania", the ambassador said that it had been her request to come to our country, as she considers it very important for Greece.

Among other things, Kamitsi also revealed a message from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, about a family relationship between the two countries.

 "I asked to come to Albania, they didn't tell me. I asked for it myself. Albania is a very important country for Greece and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is one of the most important embassies there is, they give it a very special importance.

That's exactly why it's a big embassy. We also have two Consulates General. It's a very important post for Greece.

"So one not only has to ask to come, but one has to be selected to come. The Greek Prime Minister visited Albania 4 times during the 3 years I have been in Albania. Greece and Albania have family relations, sometimes there are quarrels but this is self-evident in family relations," said Ambassador Kamitsi./CNA
