Albania-Czech Republic match/Balla appeal to fans: Give up pyrotechnics and acts

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, called on the fans from the Assembly to give up the use of flares, pyrotechnics and acts of violence in the stadium.

Balla reminded the Red and Black fans of UEFA's punitive measures in the event that acts of violence are repeated or pyrotechnics are used.

"While we are a few hours away from the Albania-Czech Republic football match, I want to repeat the call to the fans to give up the use of flares, pyrotechnics and acts of violence in stadiums must end. The State Police has detained groups of fans in possession of prohibited materials at several checkpoints. We remind you that UEFA will punish Albania to play without fans, in the last group match with the Faroe Islands, in case acts of violence are repeated or pyrotechnics are used. Full implementation of UEFA rules is needed and banning of the responsible persons from entering the stadiums!", writes Balla.

Today at 20:45 the Albania-Czech match will be played at the "Air Albania" stadium. /CNA
