Gëzim Zilja lists the problems of Vlora/ "Arrows" the deputies:
Former Mayor of Vlora, Gëzim Zilja

The former Mayor of Vlora, Gëzim Zilja, has listed some of the current problems in the coastal city of Vlora.

Zilja says that one of the existing problems is the diversion of the Shushica river to take it to the coast of Himara.

The second problem, according to him, is the installation of floating thermal power plants in Zvrnec and, the third, the supply of drinking water to Vlora.

Also, he has targeted the deputies of the coastal city, whom he describes as soldiers, who do not raise real concerns in the parliaments, but commit corruption.

Vlora's problems and party soldier MPs

There are a total of 12 MPs from Vlora district, two from Foltores, one from the official DP, one from the Chams and six from the SP. They are representatives of the people in the parliament and as such, the fundamental problems of the right-wing or left-wing residents of Vlora should be addressed in the parliament through laws (proposed) or requests for investments. For thirty years, MPs spend most of their time, hiring militants, interfering with the police or justice for favors, issuing building permits for friends, influencing local authorities to win a piece of land or the next tender for a friend. theirs and other allishverishes. If they were representatives of the people for the basic problems of the city in special cases they would come together and speak with a unified language,

Diversion of the Shushica River to take it to the coast of Himara.

It is an existential problem, vital for the villages of the Vlora River and beyond. This government decision has been opposed by the residents of these areas (right and left) and environmentalist associations, citing very strong reasons, related to the flora, fauna and economic development of those areas. With the exception of MP Bujar Leskaj, who strongly opposed Shushica's deviation in parliament, and for other issues, I have not heard any other right-wing MP tweet or recite anything interesting against this project. As usual, the left-wing MPs are silent and accept every action of the all-knowing and irrefutable CM even though they have the duty to speak in parliament about these decisions that destroy the life of an entire province. Finally, they expressed their support for the introduction of the Shushica River into the tube,

Installation of floating thermal power plants in Zvrnec.

Many politicians, analysts, journalists, economists have clearly expressed that this is a big corrupt affair, while associations and environmental specialists express and argue that their employment will bring catastrophic consequences for marine flora and fauna and will pollute the air of the city with consequences for the health of the inhabitants. People's representatives are silent. Even when they ask the national or local TV to express themselves, even when they call the environmentalists to join them in the protests, they don't even bother to pick up the phone.

Supplying Vlora with drinking water

Vlora and its surroundings suffer from a lack of water, especially in the summer. Billions of euros have been spent on roads, concrete, they have done, made and redone two or three times the squares and streets of the city, but no investment has ever been made in the water supply network of Vlora. About 140 million euros were invested for the Llogara tunnel (they call it the Zamir Tunnel) and the Orikum-Dukat road (the Gjikuriya Road, they say) and no one has stood up and said to the strategist of the renaissance of Vlora, in the parliament: "God prime minister: Why so much money for an existing tunnel or road, when the city and its surroundings are in dire need of water?" Only twenty million euros is enough for Vlora and all the villages to have water every twenty-four hours. In summer, there are villages and neighborhoods where water is missing for days. I know that militants with ranks and without ranks will tell me: "We need the Tunnel." We need the Orikum-Dukat road because it brings development," Of course I also need to say it. But the residents of Vlora say that there are priorities, and the solution of the water issue is before that of the Tunnel and the existing Orikum-Dukat road.

Where and how will the city expand in the next ten years?

During these thirty years, Vlora has been "expanded" according to the chaotic principle: Find a place and an empty square in the city, build it or by biting, shaving and shearing the crown of the hills (a masterpiece of nature) roadless, from the entrance of Vlora to Jonufr and beyond further, obliterating entire green surfaces. On the steep slopes of the hills you also find eight-story buildings that are foolish according to geologists, civil engineers and environmentalists. I think that the deputies of Vlora in these problems should be a block and ask for a regular and expanding plan of the city for the future, building new neighborhoods. It is not necessary to call KM's friends from Denmark or Belgium. Architects, urban planners, construction engineers in Vlora are able to do it in the best way.

SP. There is a project that several towers will soon be erected in front of the former Naval Academy. If a referendum is held, the deputies and the KM will learn that the people of Vlorë are against this project. They say that the National Maritime Museum should be built on the land in front of the Academy (the only free space in Llungomare). MPs, as representatives of the people, should take the request to the parliament and not behave like soldiers of the parties./ CNA
