Ahmetaj does not share the incinerators with the media/ The irony of the former
Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Finance, Arben Ahmetaj

Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Finance, Arben Ahmetaj, has come out with another reaction to the accusations leveled against him in connection with the privatization of the former bread factory.

Ahmetaj asks again how it is possible that the news was initially reported in the media paid by the incinerators and why these media did not verify it before.

He also asks a number of other questions and provides some clarification on his position.

At the end of the article, in an ironic tone, the former deputy prime minister asks the media to be careful when publishing his reactions, as they may receive threats from "spin doctors" (people paid to protect someone's interests or image). .

Full statement:

In the wake of my reactions, as an attempt to understand the truth and make transparency with facts, some other questions and clarifications come naturally for the media, the public and definitely, above all, for SPAK:

1. How is it possible that the accusations against me flow in different media and portals before following the legal path or at least following the same path that SPAK has followed for other files so far? Notifying attorneys of charges. As in the case of the Incinerators file (only for the person Arben Ahmetaj), the files appear in the media before there are official announcements. Is it a continuation of the "Black Sheep" strategy by the spin doctor/s? Is this a strategy for a popular trial in the media before the presumed innocent go "guilty" in court? This was Vyshinsky's style, but 90 years ago and during the dictatorship.

2. How is it possible that SPAK news exclusivity regarding the Ahmetaj files is obtained by the media financed by the incinerators before they follow the legal path? In which country in the world do the details of the investigative file, and not the complete files as in my case, appear in the media?

3. What is the abuse of duty in the case of the "Buka" file? What law and article have I violated?

4. What is the damage I have caused to the state in my "abuse of duty"? How much damage have I caused to the state?

5. The honorable family of the former owners has the right to pursue the right they think is theirs, but what is the reason that in June 2022 they made a report specifically about Arben Ahmetaj? Does this coincide with the promotion of my political-media-legal persecution?

6. What is the reason that the honorable family of the former owners has withdrawn the lawsuit against the institution that granted the construction permit, while the Court of Appeal has given final decisions to cancel the privatization?

7. How is it possible that a construction permit was granted in August 2018, while the Court of Appeal's Decision was issued in November 2017. The Court's decision is a law for all and applicable in itself. The only one that has not taken any decision or action contrary to the final decision of the Court of Appeal is the Ministry of Economy headed by me in that period.

8. How is it possible that SPAK overlooks the fact that state shares are protected and not the other way around? How is it possible that SPAK ignores or overlooks the role of the Minister of Economy as a political person? How is it possible that SPAK overlooks or ignores the legal fact that the Minister of Economy does not assess or reassess assets and shares, but this part of the procedure is done by independent and certified assessors who are on the official list of the institution.

9. How is it possible that the prosecution institution, SPAK, expresses in the media about investigative surprises or surprise in relation only to the Ahmetaj files? Is this institution contaminated in its veins by the "Black Sheep" strategy? Is there an unwarranted personal bias or hatred? Or is this a matter of career and fulfilling statistics without quality?!

Some clarifications, again:

1. The Ministry of Economy did not privatize! The Ministry of Economy, at the time it was headed by me, by law only ordered the initiation of the procedure of privatization of state shares in non-strategic sectors. The Ministry of Economy ordered an assessment or reassessment, which was then carried out by independent, licensed experts. The Ministry of Economy sent the file to the Privatization Agency in the Ministry of Finance. All these steps applying the laws in force.

2. The sale of state shares was done by open auction, where anyone could participate (without any favorable opportunity). The sale was made by open auction by the Privatization Agency in the Ministry of Finance, which at the time of the auction was not headed by Arben Ahmetaj.

3. The decision of the Court of Appeal is final and does not need any supporting order, regardless of this, a cancellation order has been issued by the Ministry of Economy.

4. I do not have the entrepreneur in question, nor have I ever had him as a friend. And if I knew him, I believe that the time when you knew "kulaks" has long since ended. Knowing someone or several in our small country has not been a criminal offense for years!

However, be careful when you take this post out, if you decide to take it out, you may lose occult support, or receive threatening phone calls from spin doctors./ CNA
