The Parliamentary Group of the DP demands the calling of the Assembly in an extraordinary session with the claim of immediate implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court for the mandate of Olta Xhaçka.

In a statement of the Parliamentary Group, it is said that protection from justice is being granted to an associate of Edi Rama. The request for the meeting of the Assembly was signed by 29 DP deputies.

"The opposition MPs emphasize that it is unacceptable the political protection and obstruction of justice that the majority is doing in the case of former minister and MP Olta Xhaçka, ignoring the Constitution and preventing the implementation of two decisions of the Constitutional Court.

We strongly condemn the standard "one justice for Edi Rama and another justice for all others". In every democratic country, the implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court is mandatory and the foundation on which a legal state is built." - said in the letter of the opposition MPs addressed to the Speaker of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali.

We remind you that the parliamentary session was closed at the end of July and is expected to resume in September./ CNA
