The member of the Presidency of the DP, Grigels Muçollari, in a statement from the blue headquarters, emphasized that the government has failed with food security.

According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture is an accomplice in crime. He called for justice to act against AKU for expired products or with content that harms the lives of people on the market.

"The Democratic Party is concerned about the lack of food security. We repeat the request to the law enforcement and justice bodies to act. Those responsible for this crime with serious consequences for the health of the citizens must be held accountable," he said.

For weeks we have raised the vital concern of lack of food security, with concrete facts and cases.

Clearly, the government has failed to do its duty in one of the most vital sectors. The Ministry of Agriculture as responsible has failed or is an accomplice in the crime.

Our call has been for the justice bodies to react because there is no stronger indication to start an investigation than allowing products harmful to health on the market. There is nothing more important than the health and life of citizens.

Justice is not acting.

Although:

- AKU, the agency that has the key role, that has the funds and the staff, that is charged by law to provide this service, food safety, has failed.

As they react late or do not do their duty when the information comes to them ready, and when they go out for control it turns out that the goods have disappeared, the AKU and the Minister of Agriculture move immediately when there are complaints, when the truth is told. They are alert, sharp, energetic to protect the image of the government.

We would very much like AKU and the Minister of Agriculture to have the same commitment to protect citizens from harmful foods and products. But that doesn't happen.

While attacking the opposition or citizens concerned about food safety, or publicists and well-known persons, government people do not react or react too late when dangerous goods, food and products enter the market and in our markets.

If the work were to be done and the law would be implemented, the AKU and government officials would have to check everything at the entrance, at the borders and customs.

This does not happen.

However, they do not do the work even when the authorities of the neighboring countries, of the EU, or when the body of the European Commission announces, issues the alarm.

They themselves, AKU and the government officials, in their reactions admit failure.

Admit that dangerous products enter the market, and that they have banned or confiscated some of them.

What about the rest?

This confirmation of failure alone is alarming.

The Democratic Party is concerned about the lack of food security. We repeat the request to the law enforcement and justice bodies to act. Those responsible for this crime with serious consequences for the health of citizens must be held accountable.

We are engaged and will raise our voice and denounce any case when the government fails to provide food security.

Also, we are engaged with experts and experts in the field to offer solutions for this major problem.
