Veliaj's ties to the oligarch Çim Fusha

Today, Erion Veliaj, from Durrës prison, defended the oligarch Shkëlqim Fusha, against whom a mandatory appearance order has been imposed, launching attacks on the prosecutor and judge who are dealing with his and Ajola Xoxa's case.

Veliaj called Shkëlqim Fusha a well-established businessman while throwing a host of insults at the prosecutor in his case.

In fact, if we go further, we can understand Erion Veliaj's close connection with Shkëlqim Fusha and the reason why he protects it so much.

Very simple, Fusha has blessed Ajola Xoxa's NGO with millions, while Veliaj has rewarded it with a building permit, as well as millions for the construction, maintenance and cleaning of "Skënderbej" Square, etc.

This fact is also evidenced in the investigative file disclosed by the court.

"Fusha" shpk has obtained from the Municipality of Tirana the Building Permit No. Prot. I-8789/8, dated 23.11.2020, "Individual 1-storey dwelling, with surrounding wall" located in Yrshek, Tirana, owned by Mr. Glentjan Karaj, with developer Mr. Glentjan Karaj and the construction subject "FUSHA" sh.pk", year 2020. Permit term 27 months. Also, with letter No. 204 Prot., dated 09.11.2020, the "Fusha" shpk company has submitted to the Municipality of Tirana the request with the subject: "Liquidation of work guarantees", resulting from the implementation of works in the facility "Urban Requalification of Skanderbeg Square, Phase II", in the amount of 58, 732, 731 lek. Also, the "Fusha" shpk company has participated in the procurement procedure announced with Procurement Order No. 41302 Prot., dated 23.11.2020 for the facility "Tirana Cleaning Service" Lot IV "Tirana Area Cleaning Service IV", signed by the Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj. So, just 3 days after obtaining the permit in question, as well as during the time it was awaiting the review of the request from the Municipality of Tirana made by the company "Fusha" shpk on 09.11.2020 with the subject: "Liquidation of work guarantees", resulting from the implementation of works in the facility "Urban Requalification of Skanderbeg Square, Phase II", in the amount of 58,732,731 lek, as well as three days after the issuance of Procurement Order No. 41302 Prot., dated 23.11.2020 (where it later emerged as the winner), the commercial entity "Fusha" shpk was invoiced with an amount of 2,672,568 lek by two natural persons, fully controlled by the citizen Ajola Xoxa, who in turn, just 4 days later, were invoiced by "Harabel", transferring half of the money to this organization, the file states.

But let's go beyond this fact. Veliaj is so connected to Çim Fusha that he named a street in Tirana after him.

Although the names of famous people or public figures are used to name streets after they pass away, in the case of Fusha Veliaj, he kept them alive for their great merits.
