"CEC should tell us where the 130 thousand lost ballots are"/ Kaso: DP

The Secretary for Legal Affairs at the Democratic Party, Ivi Kaso, said today that the DP's request for the CEC to launch an administrative investigation into the loss of 130,000 ballots is based on official data from the CEC's minutes.

Invited to the show "Log.", Kaso stated that the CEC's response to this issue was ready, as it was said that mistakes had been made.

According to Kaso, the DP is not making accusations against the CEC, but is demanding answers about where these ballots are based on the minutes that have been provided.

"A response that the CEC had prepared says that mistakes have been made. We have seen mistakes so far, but we have not seen any in the amount of 130 thousand ballots to date. If the ballots do not come out, they must give an answer where they are.

It is not known what happened, but the simplest logic is that those ballots could have been replaced. We have proof that we have the CEC decision that 3 million, 534 thousand, 792 were produced.

1 million 463 thousand 204 were found in the ballot boxes, 1 million 935 thousand 834 were declared unused, 5 thousand are damaged, 130 thousand 754 are missing. We do not accuse but we say from the minutes you have given us, find where they are. The remaining ballots are less than the surplus that should have been left. There are some ballots that are neither used nor unused", - said Kaso./CNA
