The government has approved in principle a financing agreement with the European Commission in the field of renewable energy, which is expected to reach 50 million euros, for the period 2024-2027.
The grant comes within the framework of the preparatory phase of integration and is divided into 4 installments until 2027.
EU Grant:
For 2025 - 15 000 000 Euros
For 2026 - 18 000 000 Euros
For 2027 - 13 000 000 Euros
According to the document, it is anticipated that 15 million euros will be allocated for 2025, while if the value of 4 million euros foreseen for last year is added, then the funding goes to 19 million euros.
For 2026, funding of 18 million euros is foreseen and for 2027, funding of 13 million euros.
Based on the document, the objectives pursued by the multi-year action plan will advance the green agenda in Albania and strengthen efforts to protect the environment, contributing to climate change mitigation, increasing resilience and facilitating the transition to a low-carbon economy./CNA
