"We cannot make false laws for decoration"/ DP MP: With Rama, Albania

Incumbent MP Asllan Dogjani spoke about the elections in the Laws Committee, saying that the Democratic Party faced a serious criminal situation.

Dogjani emphasized that democracy in Albania has ended and dictatorship has been installed.

The MP underlined that with Edi Rama, Albania will return to an arena of battles, and therefore called on the Socialists to reflect and do everything possible to create a technical government and hold free elections in the country.

"In a country that does not ensure free and fair elections, in a country that does not ensure that citizens vote freely, we cannot make false laws just for the sake of decorum. In Albania, democracy has ended, a dictatorship has been installed. In these elections that we are witnesses, we faced a serious criminal situation.

Crime, money from the drug trade and fear were the most effective tools for these elections. These victories that you have made worse than in '96 are a great danger to democracy. There was manipulation during the vote counting. Albania with Edi Rama will very soon become an arena of battles between nations and Albanians. I also call on the socialists to reflect and do everything to go to a technical government. It is the only solution", said Dogjani.

On the other hand, Enkelejd Alibeaj, who also failed to obtain a mandate, together with his coalition Right for Development, said that at least 10 deputies at the meeting will no longer be present in September, including the chairwoman of the committee, Klotilda Bushka. He added that the proceedings should not continue since the sovereign has spoken and they do not represent the Albanian people, as long as they have not been re-elected./ CNA
