Requests a recount of votes/ Alimehmeti takes the matter to the Electoral

The DP candidate for Tirana in the May 11 parliamentary elections, Ilir Alimehmeti, has sent the issue of recounting his votes in all Tirana CEAZs to the Electoral College.

Announcement: 

On 03.06.2025, at 10:00, at the premises of the Administrative Court of Appeal, at the address: Rr. "Ismail Qemali", Tirana, a draw will be made to determine the panel of the Judicial Electoral College, for the adjudication of Appeal No. 10 Basic Register Date 02.06.2025 Registration, with:

COMPLAINANT: Ilir Alimehmeti, candidate from the multi-name list of the Democratic Party/Alliance for a Greater Albania (DP-ASHM). RESPONDENT: Central Election Commission.

OBJECT: – Amendment of decision no. 83 dated 30.05.2025 of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission1 “On Refusal to Review Complaint No. 52, dated 29.05.20252, filed by Mr. Ilir Alimehmeti, candidate for Deputy of the Electoral Entity Democratic Party - Alliance for a Greater Albania”;

– Amendment of decision no. 1326 dated 24.05.2025 “On the approval of the summary table for the voting results in the Tirana District electoral zone, for electoral subjects and candidates for deputies, in the Assembly elections of May 11, 2025”3;

– Recount and/or re-evaluation of votes in all CEAZs of Tirana District; – Change of the result of the summary tables after the recount and/or re-evaluation of votes;

– As an alternative to the rejection of the above requests, sending for incidental control to the Constitutional Court of Article 124, paragraph 1, of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania, based on Article 145 of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania. BASIS
