Prime Minister Edi Rama has admitted today the failure with the incinerators in a meeting with the political leaders of the regions.

Rama said a new corporation is needed to address donor relations and funding, noting that they are "a mess."

The Prime Minister said that whether it's for water or waste treatment, we need to move to a national level, we need to move to a higher-level corporation.

"We need a new corporation to address donor relations and funding that are lagging. We can't just sit around and wait. Whether it's water or waste treatment, we need to move to a national level, we need to move to a higher-level corporation."

We need to move to another level with water services and investments and transparency in all these processes where there are many actors and there are many losses of all kinds.

"We have a map in the waste treatment system that is different, but it should not be consolidated and a waste treatment system should be created at the national level," said Rama./ CNA
