Integration/ Rama: The green light for the conclusion of negotiations shines on

Prime Minister Edi Rama has made a reaction regarding the negotiation process, stating that the green light for the opening of the final phase of the membership negotiations and the holding of the Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference coincides with the 180th anniversary of the birth of Naim Frashëri.

In his post on social media, Rama describes Naim Frashëri as the great "Albanian-maker" and the guide of the centuries-old aspiration of Albanians towards Europe.

He further adds that Albania aims to crown its European journey in 2030, on the 130th anniversary of the national poet's passing, by declaring it the "European Year of Naimi".

Referring also to the words of Albanian literary personality Faik Konica regarding the funeral ceremony of Naim Frashëri, it was emphasized that in the Albania of 2030, the figure of the poet will be celebrated by an entire people.

It is a joyful mystery that the green light for the opening of the final phase of the negotiations for membership in the European Union and the holding of the Albania-European Union Intergovernmental Conference, shines on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Naim Frashëri, the brilliant guide of our centuries-old aspiration towards "The Sun that rises from the west."

With great gratitude, we remember the great and immortal "Albanian Maker" on this May 25th, invoking the Good Hour of his soul for the good days that will come for our nation and state.

With our joint work, in the light of his legacy and that of our rebirthers, and with God's help, Albania 2030 will crown the year of the 130th anniversary of Naim Frashëri's death as the European Year of Naim, the year of "The Sun that rises from the west."

And if, as Konica said, when Naim was laid to rest, 300 Albanians accompanied him, in Albania 2030 the great Albania-maker will be celebrated alive by an entire people, united with the family of the United Europe. /CNA
