Berisha reconfirmed as leader of the Democratic Party/ Final results of the

Sali Berisha has been reconfirmed as the leader of the Democratic Party. Democratic MP, Albana Vokshi, in a statement to the media, stated that from the processing of preliminary data in 77 DP branches, 87 voting centers, the total number of votes was 39,441.

Of this total, 38,902 votes were classified as valid, while 539 were invalid. Meanwhile, it is reported that Berisha secured 37,341 votes in favor, 1,055 were against, 539 were invalid, while 506 votes were abstained. 

"Today, on May 23, democrats across the country were invited to decide the leadership of the Democratic Party. Through a transparent, orderly, peaceful process, widely monitored by the media, without any obstacles to it, as well as characterized by a massive participation of Democratic Party members. From the processing of preliminary data, i.e. the contacts we have had with the branches, 77 branches of the Democratic Party, where they voted in 87 polling centers, from the preliminary results of the process, we have the following. The total number of votes counted, i.e. the total number of participants, is 39,441. Of these, it turns out, 38,902 valid votes. 539 invalid votes. Of the valid votes, 37,341 votes for President Sali Berisha. 1,055 votes against. 506 abstention votes.
