Berisha: Lack of transparency in IBAR reporting, "sugar-coated" by

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said today that the reporting related to Albania's IBAR process does not reflect the reality of the country and Albanians.

In a press conference, Berisha stated that this lack of transparency was caused by directives coming from the office of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who, according to him, wanted to portray the major problems of his government in a different way.

According to the leading democrat, the truths about the country are completely different from European Union standards and are not on the side of the citizens.

"The free speech mafia, in accordance with the directives it received from the Prime Minister's office, blacked out dozens and dozens of pages on portals and newspapers. It spent hours in the studio to deceive citizens about the IBAR report. This after completely censoring the report of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. It is precisely this attitude that exceeds any kind of limit that forces me today, in the name of transparency, to present the truth of the report to Albanians. I thank them for reflecting in their report the Albanian reality as it is and not the reality sugarcoated with corrupt lobbies, as well as the major problems of Edi Rama's drug regime. In relation to the standards of the European Union, it is a completely different country. It is a great misfortune that the media, instead of taking the side of the citizens, the country and the interests of the country, take the side of the head of Meduza, deceiving citizens about this report", - said Berisha./ CNA
