The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, delivered his speech at the plenary session where he spoke about the absence of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Assembly.

Berisha said that Rama does not appear before citizens and MPs because of the thefts and problems he has caused. According to him, this government has plunged the country into poverty and has not made any of the investments it promised.

"The head of the executive, terrified of himself, does not dare to appear before citizens and deputies for serious crimes, for major problems that bear his authorship. Meanwhile, Albanians are being pushed into poverty every month. He flies 23 million euros in two years by plane-taxi. Now he has returned again. On the last trip, the plane costs 300 thousand euros. Parliament is blocked in his investigation. We declare here that we will not accept that someone here stands above the Constitution. He does not come because the mountain of facts and documents buries him. Because he himself is the head of the corrupt system and his affairs are not allowed to be investigated. Where is the Tirana incinerator, 130 million euros? Where is the sewage treatment plant? Where are the hundreds of millions of euros spent on roads. You brought the 100 villages project here to be completed in three years and you postponed it again for several more years. Why is he not coming? He is not coming because they are blackmailing Albania and Europe with the protection of the thefts he has committed. It is not surprising that he did the country a terrible service. In 15 projects, only 1 is realized. He is the only thief prime minister who lives in a palace with a 9 thousand square meter park. Bigger than the presidential palace", said Berisha. /CNA
