Prime Minister Edi Rama was present today at the discussion forum in Bled, Slovenia.

In his speech to those present, Rama focused on the country's goals for integration into the European Union.

Rama said that Albania's entry into the EU would be like closing a wound, without which many viruses and microbes would enter, and that closing the internal border is not enlargement.

"If the EU expands with us, it becomes stronger, it becomes more compact. Why? Because it does not leave a part of its organism open, for microbes, viruses, infections and so on to enter, and this is the key. If tomorrow things go in a different direction, this will be an open wound in the heart of Europe, while if we are inside, we are simply closing a space, a very small space that could become a big problem. We are the only reality, I believe, in the history of geography, - I am talking at length like the Italians, - we are the only reality in the history of geography that has two borders, the European Union has two borders, an external border like everyone else and an internal border and within this internal border are me and him. Now, what kind of enlargement is this? Close this internal border. The common market, so our entry, you are acting as if our entry into the common market were China or someone else who threatens Europe, while among other things we also bring entertainment, optimism, youth, desire for life, and desire for marriages," Rama said./ CNA
