Removal of Ahmetaj's immunity/ Rama comes out with a video message: The

Prime Minister Edi Rasma has released a video message for the vote in the Assembly, for the removal of the immunity of his former deputy and MP, Arben Ahmetaj.

Rama said that the SPAK file on Ahmatej was a test for the Government as the initiator of the new Justice Reform.

"Today we voted on a SPAK request to authorize the arrest of a deputy who has covered important government duties. The former highest official in history who ended up in the SPAK network was another test for us as leaders of justice reform. Who he heard me at the beginning of the time, he should remember that I insisted on this reform. When I said that we want an overturn of the old system, I meant well what I said.

For the old system, I don't only have the rottenness where impunity was the norm for Albanians, but I had in mind the miserable culture of brutal justice for the common man and kneeling before the man in power. Never from 1912 until the years when we SP entered the sea on foot to push through the reform, did it happen that such a powerful man was treated differently. The only case when a man with power was punished by the court, that of Fatos Nano was the last of the tradition of political imprisonment of political opponents", he said./ CNA.al
