"They guarantee the country's energy security"/ Balluku: Large

Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, informed today that the draft law "On the Energy Sector" will be released for public consultation next week.

At the roundtable "Energy Market and Market Actors", held today, Balluku stated that "we consider it important to have a law that will respond to us continuously, in its entire framework, without the need for occasional changes and fluctuations in processes related to investments in the sector."

She invited market actors to submit their proposals for this law. Balluku further announced that thanks to investments and reforms in this sector, losses have now fallen to 18%, from 45% in 2023.

" We took it on with 700 million euros of debt of various levels and with technical losses exceeding 45% and revenue collection below 75%. Today, technical losses have dropped to 18%. Today, we have large Albanian and European companies that are building photovoltaic parks that guarantee the country's energy security and Albania's return to a net exporting country ," she said./ CNA
