The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a press conference this Thursday afternoon. From the DP headquarters, Berisha focused on the May 11 elections.

In his speech, Berisha said that the entire Europe is watching the electoral process.

Berisha mentioned the important delegations that visited Albania precisely for the elections.

Berisha said that all those who are committing election crimes should be declared terrorist organizations.

Berisha added that the DP will do everything to ensure that Albanians vote freely.

"It continues every hour, every day. I can tell you that never in the history of this country have two international hearings been held for elections in Albania, as happened last week in the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, which means that there are no longer closed eyes, but they are wide open and the spotlights, not only ours, but also those of Europe and our friends everywhere, are focused on this electoral process.

Some of the most important OSCE delegations visited Albania precisely for the elections.

We have submitted the names and surnames of all those who are committing electoral crimes, but we guarantee that electoral crime will be called a serious crime, it will be qualified as a serious crime and this is a solemn electoral commitment and that, the criminal organizations that are engaging in electoral crime, we will do everything to declare them, terrorist organizations, not only by Albania, but also by the international factor.

President Donald Trump opened the door to this procedure and with a special order he declared the drug cartels, terrorist organizations. We will declare them terrorist organizations and we will lobby hard in Europe and the US so that they are considered as such by the entire international factor.

"We are doing everything we can to ensure that Albanians vote freely and we are doing the right thing," Berisha said. /CNA
