"They voted for the owl and it destroyed them"/ Rama: The May 11

Prime Minister Edi Rama was in a meeting in Dibër this afternoon. During his speech, Rama emphasized the need to vote for the May 11 elections.

Rama said that the people of Dibra once gave the owl their vote and it ruined them, referring to the DP's result in this district years ago.

Rama said that these elections are also an opportunity for an EU passport, which he described as a new status for Albanian children and families.

Rama added that this is the moment when Albania has an open door and must take advantage of it.

"They gave the vote to the owl once and it ruined them. Now Albanians should come together to give it to the owl again, so that it can hang on the necks of Albanians?!"

No! Albanians have no time to waste. They need to make us enter with an EU passport.

The passport is the new status for your children and families. For the first time in history, they will become citizens equal to those in the EU.  

And this is not rhetoric. Today we are outside the EU circle.

With that passport you can enter any country and no one can stop you. You can go to any university and you are not a foreign student. Your years of work are automatically recognized. How can you miss this chance?!

"If we mess up with our feet, the door closes. It happened to Macedonia before. The door has been opened for us and we must enter," Rama said. /CNA
