"The May 11th farce got out of control"/ Zhupa: Albanians must be told

Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa said today that the electoral farce of May 11 has gotten out of control of the majority. Invited to an interview on 'Syri TV', Zhupa stated that these elections have produced a result that does not match the reality, what the people, what the voters are looking for, but a different result.

Zhupa said that Albanians must be told the truth about the May 11 process, which according to her has not yet produced a final result.

"In a democratic country, in a country that organizes free and fair elections, the result would be out 2 days later and everything would be closed there.
What is happening in Albania is that everything has gotten out of control, that the majority and its extensions, whether in the CEC, in the diaspora vote, or in other institutions, have not been able to control that electoral farce that they have made themselves, it has gotten out of control.

This started that day during the counting, it started with the realization that more envelopes had arrived than had been sent, where the CEC reported a certain number of envelopes for a region, and then more were returned than the CEC had sent.

This problem was later noticed with what the Democratic Party identified, with the lack of 130 thousand ballots that were supposed to be unused, but it is not known what happened.

It is a process that, as we discussed today in the Albanian Parliament and as was discussed in the European Parliament, clearly shows that Albania has not organized free and fair elections but has organized an electoral farce, decided by crime, decided by power, decided by methods that are universally recognized as methods of election manipulation, such as the Bulgarian Train, which in the Finiq Municipality, for example, I have transmitted with photos and evidence how Dhimitër Llajo, Vasil Llajo's cousin, took out the ballot paper with stamps to give to the voters and then to do that train theory where one sheet was returned and another sheet was sent.

What is very important is that the Democratic Party is determined to dismantle this electoral farce, denounce it, and make it known, as was the case with the recent meetings of the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, in Brussels.

You saw them, extremely good meetings where in the group of European People's Parties it was decided that they would send a fact-finding mission to Albania.
We must expose the propaganda every day and show the Albanians what really happened in the May 11 process, that we are already in June and they cannot produce a final election result.

I have zero faith in the processes that the CEC is carrying out, or in the few rights that the KAS grants, because the essence, which is the non-recognition of the elections, has been undermined, so the essence of the discussion is that these elections have produced a result that does not match the reality, what the people are looking for, what the voters are looking for, but a different result.

Albania, a country that legalized drug parcels during the electoral campaign due to the law approved by Edi Rama, a country where oligarchs no longer recognize any borders, protected areas, military property, or government residences, where everything can be part of a construction project, it is normal that we would go through this vote distortion.

"The important thing is that we must dismantle this electoral farce," Zhupa said. /CNA
