Gog returns as a preacher: May God protect our country from those who are ready

In today's speech in the Assembly, MP Gogu, also Vice-Chairman of the SP Parliamentary Group until the configuration of the new Assembly, referred to the statements made by DP representatives in international panels in recent days.

We recall that DP Chairman Sali Berisha described Albania as a drug state in his presentation. Such a description by the opposition leader certainly does not align with the spirit of Albania's EU membership.

Gog seems to have returned to the role of preacher, as at the end of his speech he said: "May God protect our country from those who are ready to burn it, because they cannot govern it."

"Votes have been stolen, yes they have been stolen in the DP primaries and every democrat knows this. Yes it has been stolen, yes the lives of 4 citizens on the boulevard have been stolen and every Albanian saw this, of course. Yes the hope of the young people who are waiting to vote today has been stolen."

Today, esteemed colleagues, we have the opportunity to show that Albania is a mission, Albania is a journey, Albania is a covenant with the future, and Albania does not need cursing and cursing.

"I support this agreement, not as a technical document but as a clear expression of the political will of an Albania that walks, works and does not slander, so today my prayer is that God bless Albania, that Albanians enlighten all of us from today, but also those who will come and take responsibility, enlighten our minds and protect Albania from those who are ready to burn it because they cannot govern it," said Gogu./ CNA
