Yesterday the parliament approved a resolution, which paves the way for a Special Commission, which has been called in the framework of the fight against corruption and other steps forward that Albania must take.
This commission is an "update" number 2 of the Justice Reform, for which the prime minister has expressed his dissatisfaction, although his attitude to SPAK was different. Sometimes he supports him, sometimes he says that he has committed actions that give him dissatisfaction.
In fact, there is no satisfaction for SPAK to give Edi Rama, nor Fatmir Xhafaj, nor Erion Veliaj and others in a row, but the problem is that Justice Reform is not only SPAK. SPAK has done its duty.

The problem is the captured Constitutional Court , where it can be said that for the first time a complete political control of it prevails, with incompetent, inexperienced individuals. It is probably the most shameful body of the Constitutional Court in more than 30 years of transition and democracy.
The second is the Supreme Court , which is again chaired by someone who has not vetted. They took him out of the door and forced him in through the window.
The Courts of Appeal are also problems, the courts in the districts are also problems. And if we look at these details, the fact is that the prime minister either has to admit that the Justice Reform has failed or he has to admit that there is a problem with the SPAK, which he does not have under his control and he must at all costs to prepare laws, so that this well-defined institution in the constitution reports to the government or any other structure.

In fact, SPAK reports to the Law Commission and that's it, just like any other institution. ( Read here )
On the other hand, if Rama wanted to make a real reform and should move towards the EU process, he should take the reference documents of the EU, the tasks left and do this through the integration commission. But apparently there are bigger problems than the truth that he claims for a true path to Europe, with a tougher fight against corruption, because Prime Minister Edi Rama has been in office for almost 11 years and still today he has not referred a single case to SPAK only the corruption at the high levels of government, on the contrary, has also advocated for them, as is the case of the incinerators, and it has been ineffectively justified.
There are two points that Rama seeks to make in this second Pseudo-Reform in Justice.

First, the fight against corruption by repealing the article on abuse of office, because there are claims by Rama and his people that SPAK is abusing. This has been publicly confirmed by Baton Haxhiu, one of the people closest to Rama. ( Read here )
The CNA has often said that it will try to eliminate abuse of office. In fact, there is a second step from the prime minister. The scheme is clear, Albania is a Parliamentary Republic, the Parliament works for the people and everyone must be accountable to the Parliament.
So it is not that we are dealing simply and only with an anti-corruption reform, where the Prime Minister has already found himself, has taken the banner of the fight against corruption and has built special structures in the Prime Minister, he is hitting the administration, he is hitting corruption, he only with his people are sending them to the courts and the prosecutor, they are creating reports to show that there is no tolerance.

No, it didn't happen like that. They simply and only want to demand accountability from SPAK and abolish an article, which is currently in force and has sent dozens of officials behind bars.
These thieving officials who are in prisons if this law did not exist would not be behind bars, but would be free persons, even though it was proven that they had violated the law, they had violated their duty for personal gain, and the cases are numerous.
Therefore, it is clear to everyone what Fatmir Xhafaj, Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj are looking for with their alleged battle against corruption./ CNA
