A scuffle, which then led to a retreat. One could call it a hiccup by Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who is in the cells of Durrës prison .

It was the latter who signed the appointment of Sara Goxhaj as acting mayor of Tirana two days ago, but previously Anuela Ristani had taken on this position with the blessing of Prime Minister Rama and the leader of the Socialist Party.

Late yesterday evening, as soon as Edi Rama learned that Erion Veliaj had dismissed Anuela Ristan and appointed Sara Goxhaj, he went to the Municipality of Tirana himself and requested that the order not be implemented . He took Alban Dokushi and Sara Goxhaj to the limit, from last night until this afternoon a terrible situation has been created.

Media close to Erion Veliaj, paid with money from his brother's companies, but also from incinerators, financed by the Municipality of Tirana, have issued a news report emphasizing that Erion would not sign the cancellation of his first order.

The municipality seemed to be on the verge of chaos. The largest in the country, Tirana Municipality was already in danger of being completely blocked and the only solution was the dismissal of Mayor Erion Veliaj.

CNA has learned from official sources that dismissal was an option and the last offer that Rama made to Erion Veliaj. If he did not withdraw the appointment of Sara Goxhaj, Rama would gather the government and dismiss him from office , demanding that early elections be held in the Municipality of Tirana and Erion would once and for all lose the partial support of the Prime Minister.

Today, in fact, was the day when Erion Veliaj was informed of his third indictment at SPAK and perhaps he thought that since he would be summoned to the prosecutor's office and there would be other actions and actions, the prime minister would accept his choice, so that he could do whatever he wanted with the Municipality of Tirana.

But apparently Rama has decided that everything will pass to him. So every move, every action, every commitment, every appointment, every change now passes through Edi Rama and Veliaj simply remains an appointed official and nothing more than that.
