Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has announced that the Rama-McGonigal case has been requested to be investigated in the US Congress.

This was requested by the Diaspora for Free Albania. Berisha writes that after the letter sent on February 28, 2023, the day before, Besa Sharrah, Bledar S. Milaqi, Nador Bakalli and Florian Haçkaj from Lévizja held a meeting with the well-known Congressman and one of the most influential people in Congress American, Jim Jordan.

Berisha points out that Jim Jordan is the chairman of the Judiciary Committee in the US Congress, charged with investigating the use of the FBI for political affairs and advantages.

He underlines that this commission will thoroughly investigate the McGonnigal case, where the name of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, is mentioned 14 times in the indictment.

Lëvizja theksoi rëndësinë e së vërtetës mbi çështjen McGonnigal dhe zbardhjen nga komisioni hetimor i kësaj afere madhore korruptive si dhe falenderuam kongresmenin për punën e tij në drejtim të transparencës dhe shkuarjes deri në fund të së vërtetës në lidhje me këtë aferë. Gjithashtu i ofruam atij mbështetje nëpërmjet ekspertizës dhe përkushtimit tonë të palëkundur për më të mirën për Shqipërinë.

Kongresmeni Jordan mbështeti kauzën tonë kryesore të votës së Diasporës dhe u angazhua të adresojë këtë çështje në komisionin për marrëdhëniet me jashtë.
