"I will file a lawsuit with SPAK against KAS"/ Kalaja to CNA:

The Democratic Party candidate for the Durrës district, Aulon Kalaja, spoke in detail about the processes taking place after the May 11 parliamentary elections.

In an interview with CNA TV, Kalaja focused on the reasons why the vote recount process for the Durrës Region was interrupted.

Kalaja emphasized that dissatisfaction with this process is pushing him to file a lawsuit with SPAK against the Complaints and Sanctions Commission.

"In the Durrës Region, there are a total of 493 boxes, but KAS initially decided with the decision of June 3 to count about 290 boxes. Meanwhile, on the day when the votes were being counted, the recount stopped in a strange way at box 152, while we expected it to continue. Even the facts that were found there were shocking. We were no longer dealing with human errors, nor with a change in the result, but with what in my opinion is called an 'electoral crime', which KAS did not refer to the Prosecutor's Office at any time. How is it possible that in Tirana and Fier all the boxes are counted and in Durrës only a part of the boxes are counted. I want to say to your viewers that yesterday I submitted 8 more boxes with problems to the KAS team. My difference narrows by another 28 votes. I had these boxes on video. I received them from the CEC and they are proof. The count in Durrës was leading to an incident like in Fier, where the mandates. That's why the recount was stopped. I won't leave it at that. I will go to SPAK. I will file a lawsuit and have SPAK count the votes," said Kalaja./CNA
