The Secretary for Legal Affairs in the Democratic Party, Ivi Kaso, spoke on a television appearance, emphasizing that the Diaspora should all vote, even those immigrants who do not have Albanian documents, while adding that the majority seeks to control this process.

"There are 600,000 Albanians whose identification documents have expired. We think that there are many Albanians living abroad and who have documents from the country where they live."

An Albanian had fled to Australia since 1997, had an old passport and has an Australian state identification document. This person should vote. The majority wants to control the process.

"All Albanians should vote, even those with only an identification document from another country. The government is also trying to control the diaspora vote. I do not believe that citizens want the opposition to avoid entering the elections," said Kaso. /CNA
