Celibashi orders closure of electoral offices and removal of propaganda

Today, the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, announced the decisions for 3 administrative reviews, for complaints no. 57 ID and no. 69 ID, of the Democratic Party and no. 58 ID, of Mr. Erjon Murataj.

The SEC decided to suspend the administrative review against the mayors of the municipalities of Roskovec, Elbasan, and Shkodër.

The administrative review of the Democratic Party's complaints with no. 81 ID, no. 82 ID, no. 83 ID, no. 84 ID, no. 85 ID, 88 ID, no. 53 ID, and no. 59 ID, of the Center Organization "Citizen Center" has been completed. The decisions will be announced at the next session.

At the request of the electoral subjects, the review of the draft directive "On determining the rules for the collection, administration and publication of preliminary election results and the approval of documentation models for issuing results for the Assembly elections" was postponed.

Also, 13 reports of violations filed with the CEC by monitors in the period April 23-34, 2025 were reviewed.

The SEC demanded the closure of open election offices and the removal of propaganda materials from the facades of residential buildings, which are in violation of SEC Instruction No. 6, dated 23.3.2021:

1. The Socialist Party in the municipalities of Korça, Durrës, Elbasan, Kamëz, Krujë, Shijak;

2. the coalition "Democratic Party - Alliance for Greater Albania" in the municipality of Lushnje;

3. The Opportunity Party in the Lushnje municipality.

In today's session, it was decided to grant authorization for the change of several voting centers in the municipalities of Durrës and Mirdita./ CNA
