MP Saimir Korreshi commented today regarding the situation of livestock production in the country.

In an interview on 'Syri Tv', Korreshi said that in Albania, livestock farming has declined by 37%.

Korreshi said that recently, the costs for farmers have been extremely high.

"In the last report, livestock in Albania has fallen by 37%. It was news 20 days ago on you and on all televisions. This means that it is going towards 0. I have been in the Albanian parliament for four years saying that the village has been buying milk in the city for a long time. In reality, in the villages today it is almost impossible to find livestock like in the past. Every villager used to keep 2 or 3 cows at home and now they keep very, very few, because the cost is extremely high. Now there are two phenomena here: first, if we take and see how many cows the village has in proportion to the inhabitants, it does not work out for the village, not for the city anymore. You have to have a friend to buy a good can of milk, if we want to call it that, it should be straight from the cow. Food insecurity is precisely in the dairies. For so long, milk collectors have been collecting milk without any kind of tax invoice. How have they controlled the tax profit and the entry and exit of these dairies so far? "Secondly, before making this request to the village, it must be reimbursed," Korreshi said. /CNA
