Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that following the demolition of 40 entities in Theh, the cleanup of inert waste in the area has also begun.

Through a post on social media, Rama wrote that over 100 unauthorized buildings had been erected in Theth.

Rama adds that Urban Renaissance 2.0 is a vital necessity for Albania 2030 in the EU.

 "Today, with the support of the engineering forces, the cleaning of the inert remains of the execution of decisions in charge of 40 entities that had planted over 100 unauthorized buildings - from those with walls to those with metal and wooden construction - in extreme violation of the law on protected areas, of the history and fascinating landscape of that area and of the tourism that has been cultivated over the years by those who have sacrificed to make Theth the destination it is today. The engineering forces will not leave Theth until the last remnants have been removed, while a massive building remains to be demolished, so that the full execution of the IKMT decisions can be completed and Theth can return to normality before this criminal madness.
