"It was a great betrayal"/ Spahia: Constructions in Theth were

The elected MP of the Democratic Party, Bardh Spahia, today described the action in Theth as a great betrayal towards the residents.

Invited to a show on 'Syri TV', Spahia accused Prime Minister Edi Rama that construction in Theth was destroyed on his order.

Spahia added that previously made statements to the contrary by Rama on this issue were only for electoral use.

"I have said in all my statements that all the constructions that are currently being demolished on the orders of Edi Rama are all constructions that have been started, most of them completed during the last two years and especially after Edi Rama's statements during June of last year.

It is not in vain that I have considered and called it a verbal stimulation by Edi Rama to those residents to invest, a call to invest even though it is contrary to the law. On the other hand, before the year was even over, immediately after the May 11 election process, Edi Rama himself, contrary to those statements of his, brought in the Russian police, the IKMT, throwing into the river the investment with the life savings of those residents who, for the sake of the truth that I constantly say, are residents with extraordinary economic difficulties.

Here lies the essence of that great betrayal, why we must see and put ourselves in the position of those residents. It is no small promise by the country's prime minister to grant permits, legalize and open up avenues for investment to those residents. It is not their fault.

They are all local residents, there are no immigrants. They have invested in residential buildings as is normal for their families or in the case of hostels, in the vast majority without foundations and without concreting, although here and there there are also buildings with concrete and foundations. But once again, I say that it is sad when you see a prime minister who promises and then betrays them. We have considered it as an electoral use of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"It was clearly seen because the behavior before the May 11 elections was different. It was a turning a blind eye by all state institutions that have a very long-term responsibility in the electoral elections and today we see those residents in an absurd, completely illegal terror by government institutions," said Spahia./CNA
