Berisha under house arrest/ The movement of the Democrats is revealed

While the former prime minister Sali Berisha is under house arrest, the democrats have started symbolic protests in front of his house, on "Mustafa Matohiti" street.

CNA has learned of another move by the Democrats.

Tomorrow the Presidency of the DP will meet at the blue headquarters. This meeting was called by the DP secretary, Flamur Noka.

The presidency of the DP will discuss the opposition action. We remind you that this is the first meeting of the Democratic Party after Berisha was placed under house arrest.

The decision to tighten the security measures was taken by judge Irena Gjoka on December 30.

It is suspected that Berisha has committed the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials" for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex. 

According to the decision, Berisha must not leave the apartment and must not communicate with other people except those who live in the same house with him.

Berisha's lawyers have appealed the decision given by judge Gjoka./ CNA
