The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, commemorated the 17th anniversary of the Gërdec tragedy from Librazhdi.

Balla said that Berisha is the politician who has killed people with his corruption.

Balla further stated that the Socialists should come out on top again, setting a target of 75% of the votes.

" Today marks 17 years since the terrible explosion of corruption by Sali Berisha's family and his ministers killed 26 innocent Albanians. And when I see in these dinner studios that they dare to equate the files of a former socialist minister with those of Berisha, this is dishonest. Sali Berisha in these 30 years is the politician who has killed people with his corruption. With corruption in Gërdec, he killed 26 innocent Albanians, injured many others and destroyed an area of ??Albania.

With his corruption, together with Ilir Meta, he killed 4 protesters on January 21. Therefore, sisters and brothers, we must never forget that he is the politician who killed and can kill again to protect his corruption. I heard him one day say that they have expelled him to Librazhd. If you go to Tropoja once, they will keep you without bulletproof vests, because you have planted fratricide where your family originates. We have been left and right, but when we closed the campaign we were Librazhdjot.

What matters most for someone who has been and continues to be part of politics is the quality of working to leave behind people who are perhaps even better than yourself. I am very proud today that Librazhdi will be represented in the Assembly of Albania in the new legislature, in the new mandate 2025-2029, not by one, but by two: both Bora and Olsi. Never before, in these 30 years, have we had such a worthy and strong representation in the Assembly of Albania. That is why I said two, because this time even the most adamant democrat of Librazhdi must vote for Olsi Komic, must vote for the Socialist Party of Albania, for Edi Rama.

How many former owners are there in Albania who want to take over the properties? How is it possible that Sali Berisha's son-in-law took them in the middle of Tirana, where the football field was turned into a palace? Take Sali Berisha to the prosecutor's office. You have to endure all kinds of mud and attacks, but for me it is important that the people of Librazhd love me and will vote for me by voting for Olsi Komic, for Edi Rama.  Who is the target? You know, every time we have elections, my conversation with you is: what is the target this time?   The target this time is 75%. Again the first in Albania, dead or alive, we must again come out the first in Albania. There are many of you here who have been part of my journey since day one. There are some of you since the 1994 referendum campaign. In 2005 we were the area with the best result for the SP.
