The Democratic Party has reacted after Eurostat statistics showing that 46% of the population in Albania is at risk of poverty or social exclusion.

The Democratic Party sees with alarm and deep regret this degradation of Albania during the decade of Edi Rama's government.

The DP spokeswoman declared that there are two great 'achievements' of the Renaissance, the depopulation of the country and the impoverishment of half of the remaining population in Albania.

"Civil disobedience, a neutral technical government that ensures free elections, a parliamentary Truth Commission that reveals the links between crime and politics, and rotation are the only solutions for Albania," Garo emphasized.

While Edi Rama greeted us yesterday with photos on social networks with European political leaders, a European agency, which does not take into account politics, but figures and facts, yesterday sent Albania and the Albanians a 'black card' of the real state of the country , beyond lavish government propaganda.

Eurostat, the European Statistics Agency, in a study published yesterday, reveals that over 46 percent of the population in Albania is at risk of poverty or social exclusion.

If poverty is an easily understood term and condition, with exception, social according to Eurostat, the difference between individuals who cannot afford a certain good, service or social activity should be understood.

So, almost half of the Albanian population does not have this capacity.

The assessment for Albania in the report published yesterday on the risk of poverty and social exclusion in the European continent is based on data from 2021. In this period, in the southern region of the country, 46.5% of the population was at risk of poverty and social exclusion, in the central region 46.6% and in the northern region 46.7%.

Although there is a slight difference between the north of the country and the south of central Albania, it can be said that half of the Albanian population is at risk of social exclusion and poverty.

What makes this statistic even more serious is the fact that, according to Eurostat, the indicators for Albania are significantly higher compared to other Western Balkan countries. Montenegro has 34.1% of the population at risk of poverty, North Macedonia 32.6%, Serbia 30%, while there is no data for Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.

Albania is about 15 points higher compared to the average of the region and 25 more compared to the average of the European Union.

If you look at the accompanying graph of Eurostat data, the map of Albania is marked in black.

If we refer to INSTAT's own figures and the last government census, where 2.4 million Albanians are advertised, it turns out that over 1.1 million are on the verge of poverty and social exclusion.

The Democratic Party sees with alarm and deep regret this degradation of Albania during the decade of Edi Rama's government. There are two great 'achievements' of the Renaissance: the depopulation of the country and the impoverishment of half of the remaining population in Albania.

The propaganda trumpets with millions of tourists and with global successes, as it turns out from the Eurostat figures, do not put anything in the pockets or accounts of Albanians, but only enrich a handful of 'strategists' in Rama's court.

Civil disobedience, a neutral technical government that ensures free elections, a parliamentary Truth Commission that uncovers the links between crime and politics, and rotation are the only solutions for Albania.
