In a year-end conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that 2023 is the best year, in terms of achievements in every field. He said that the economic growth has been around 4% and unemployment has decreased. 

"At this conference I can say with all my mouth that I feel better than any year before, as a result of the year we are closing. It has been the best year for Albania in every aspect. We must work for further achievements. 2023, the best year in terms of security, public services, public investment and foreign direct investment. This year will close with an economic growth that significantly exceeds any forecast made. The final figure is about 4%, 3.7.3.8 %. Only from tourism in the first 9 months, we have benefited 3.2 billion euros in income. Real unemployment has fallen. Today we have an unemployment rate that is the lowest, 10%. Foreign direct investments have reached a value of over 1 billion euros. ", said Rama. 

The head of the government said that in 2024 there will be an increase in salaries for administration employees that will start in June. 

"Salaries will increase again in June 2024, it is foreseen in the budget. Educators, soldiers, police officers, doctors and all administrative employees will have an increase where the average salary will reach 900 eruo", said Rama .
