Hallucinations of Old Man Mere

In one of his reporting hallucinations in the newspaper "Tema" by the journalist of the Veliaj family, Mero Baze, a chronology of the event was made, that is, a retrospective of the trial against Mayor Erion Veliaj from his arrest to the GJKKO decision today.

After going around with a few questions, the gist is given at the end.

“TemA Newspaper believes that the case of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, is a triple test: first, it is a test for justice whether it is able to judge quickly, impartially and with European standards;

secondly, it is a test for politics, not to instrumentalize the criminal process in the function of daily battles, and, thirdly, it is a test for integration, because the way such cases are handled is scrutinized by international partners.

"Passing the file for trial does not provide a final answer, but rather shifts the focus to where it should have been earlier: to the evidence, the legal argument, and the reasoned decision."

Hallucinations of Old Man Mere

A very simple question arises:

Can the journalist of the Veliaj family tell us, friend Mero Baze of the SP or former Mr. Baze of Sali Berisha, who delayed the case for 7 months in court until today?

Since we wouldn't have a story from February of last year to today. The file went to court in July, the trial could begin by September.

In two or three months, there could have been a super-fast trial for Veliaj if he hadn't blocked the entry and exit of his lawyers or even resorted to the most ridiculous actions of bringing in American lawyers and bringing them to the door of SPAK.

For the court to have a speed test, it must also have a collaborator, who must be a dignified defendant, who can stand up to the facts and evidence and fight justice and not evade it.

If Erion Veliaj were a man, let him face it there. If Erion Veliaj were a man, since the summary trial could force him to admit part of the guilt, let him face the case, excluding the businessmen he has "taken in the neck", the main business names in Albania, many of whom will be punished regardless of type or form because the criminal offenses are there and everyone knows the file.

Today, after a year, it went to trial, but not because the court did not want to try it quickly, but because Erion Veliaj postponed the case.

A test for politics says "misery" not to instrumentalize the criminal process in the service of daily battles.

So what have Mero Baze, Carlo Bollino and the ruling media or even SP politicians, from the accused Plarent Ndreca, Fatmir Xhafaj, SP MPs, officials, done this year? A frontal war against SPAK, the prosecutor and the judges.

They have accused the prosecutor of lies and deceit for allegedly requesting an extension of a permit that they never issued, they deceived him by saying that he is a DP activist, a famous DP activist, and they never produced any evidence.

They attacked judge Erjon Bani in a criminal manner, they didn't say anything to him, they went as far as to attack Engert Pëllumbi, not even sparing his physical appearance, and this was not something that a tall and handsome man would do, unlike Engert Pëllumbi.

Even the politically driven media, the media of the Veliaj family such as that of Mero Baze, the media close to the government, servants of the government and beneficiaries of concessions or people who appear in interviews like Carlo Bollino, beneficiaries of tenders and subcontracts. What they did not publish and what they did not accuse.

Well, the third is the truth. The way such cases are handled is seen with a magnifying glass as it is for the integration process.

Certainly, and in case there is an integration process carried out in the Veliaj case, it is the perfect investigation that the prosecutors have conducted who have not arrested the mayor because they did not want him to remain in office or because he would escape or because he would make a name for himself with protests as happened shamelessly when he was arrested and his army surrounded SPAK and the police did not remove them. Erion Veliaj was arrested for destroying evidence.

The wiretaps also revealed SP MP Klotilda Bushka, who went and destroyed the evidence.

What happens to a person who tampers with evidence? He is arrested.

What happened next with Erion Veliaj? He went to prison. Remember the wiretaps and read here how he created intrigues, deceptions, attacks and accusations from prison.

He sought to exert pressure on justice from prison. This is the reason why Veliaj is in prison because he attempted to destroy evidence and exerted pressure on justice.

He did this relentlessly by lobbying for $220,000 in the US, while telling the court that he did not have the money for a lawyer's taxi to review the evidence and speak with the client.

So everything Mero Baze writes has turned into a joke, a shame, perhaps, and he himself knows how disgusting he makes this role, but he has nothing else to do and has to play the role of a scoundrel again because that's what he gets paid for./ CNA
