The unsurprising result of the Himara elections, where the "Greek" of Rama took the place of the "Greek" of the opposition, requires an explanation that overcomes the trap of ethnic division, where this issue was ungratefully introduced for a year. If last May, Fredi Beleri won with less than 20 votes, fourteen months later, Vangjel Tavo doubled the difference in his favor. So the question that is asked is: how did the full 1500 voters change? Who cast a spell on them? How did this reversal happen in such a short time?

In fact, if we lived in a normal society and acceptable democracy, things should have been different.

The narrow difference that Fredi Beleri managed to create on May 14, 2023, should have been increased by the unique case of the arrest of a candidate, two days before the race. She would have to dig deeper, after ignoring the implementation of the popular will, which decided to take her to the office of the mayor of Himara.

Usually, when free, people react and revolt against injustice. When they see a political policeman who fabricates evidence, when they encounter an administration that falsifies criminal evidence, when they see before their eyes SPAK and GJKKO who accept false witnesses and do not allow their confrontation, when they face special prosecutors who hide court decisions, when they follow in action the court of Durrës, the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court, which by political order play ping pong with each other, to prevent an elected candidate from taking the oath, that is, when faced with this violence, in conditions of freedom, every who has the tendency to rebel. This rebellion could have been even bigger, if you looked at the shameful castration of independent institutions: a CEC, which applies double standards just to announce the elections on the day that Edi Rama has predetermined; a president of the republic who, like an ordinary captain, does not even wait for the necessary time to complain, to designate August 4 as the new day of the elections.

So, this democratic massacre theoretically should have enticed the voters to do the opposite of what was forcibly imposed on them. With this logic, the difference of a dozen votes of Beleri should be doubled and the opposite should not happen, they should increase in favor of Vangjel Tavos.

Në Himarë, Edi Rama e vrau edhe këtë iluzion. Dhe problemi nuk është se regjimi i tij është më i egër se ai i vëllait të vet anadollas, por se ndryshe nga tjetri, autokrait shqiptar nuk duron më as të përkundet në ajër shpresa qoftë dhe e rreme se, në këtë vend, mund të vendosë dikush tjetër përpos tij.

Në këtë kuptim, ajo që ndodh prej një viti në Himarë është një pikë kthese qoftë për demokracinë e çalë 30 vjeçare, qoftë dhe për vetë regjimin rilindas. Eshtë hera e parë që kundërshtarëve nga tre, i lihen vetëm dy mundësi: ose humbja ose prangat. Përveç të drejtës për të fituar ata janë zhveshur edhe nga e drejta për të shpresuar.

His answer also comes from statistics. When in the time of the opposition, Edi Rama was still spotless, without strategic investors, without the beach of Olta Xhaçka, without land occupations and 5D hotels on the coast of Dhërmi, SP did not get more than 35% in Himare. It reached 49% a year ago. But when in addition to these 10-year-old allies, she included the political police, the SPAK, the GJKKO, the Supreme and Constitutional Court, the CEC, and the President, Vangjel Tavo raised to 59%. The voter, faced with a whole repressive apparatus, put down his hands in surrender, convinced that now going to the ballot box means participating in a futile affair. Rama is successfully installing this mentality and therefore in the future we will see triumphant victories of other Evangelists who offer themselves to the pan of power.
