The lost compass of the DP

The lost compass of the DP

The Democratic Party has maintained a very good stance on the two Fiscal Peace bills, opposing them as a money laundering mechanism and tax amnesty for government clients. Until the day before.
Yesterday, the DP did what it has been doing well lately: scoring an own goal.

The amendment filed by Gazment Bardhi is an own goal that proves two things: either a naive party that has lost its compass, or evilness according to the motto "we say one thing and do another."

Here, one thing needs to be clarified in parentheses. The amendment did not amnesty Bankers, as was wrongly interpreted. Quite the contrary. But that is of no importance.

The problem is the very fact that the DP is making an amendment for amnesty.
Sali Berisha says that amnesty is money laundering for crime and tax forgiveness for government clients. But the amendment says that the Democratic Party's concern is not money laundering or tax forgiveness, but the fact that some companies that are in legal proceedings with the state, excluding Bankers, are not benefiting. What is this now?

What if Rama accepts that amendment, what will the DP do? Will it vote for amnesty? This is being done like Ballshi's stage right now.

The DP should only maintain one position on Fiscal Peace: the one it has maintained until the day before yesterday.

Amnesty is a well. And you can pour as much perfume of amendments into the well as you want, but the ingredient inside is still s*t, it doesn't change.

The scent of amendments only further legitimizes the government to do what it is doing: money laundering and tax exemptions for towers and resorts.
