Veliaj's wiretaps/13 pages of threats, deception and manipulation

CNA has been publishing wiretaps of Erion Veliaj from Durres prison for days.

A little while ago, we published 10 full pages of wiretaps, revealing how the media served Veliaj, how the mayor threatened, manipulated, or encouraged pressure to be exerted on prosecutors and justice institutions.

Now we are bringing you more full pages from the wiretaps that reveal the staging from the backrooms of Durrës prison, directed by Veliaj, using media owners as a whip.

Wiretaps on page 79

1-Erion Veliaj uses Mero Bazen to stage the 2 million euros that the government media wrote was paid to the prosecutor for his file.

2- At 09:31, Erion Veliaj asks Ajola to talk to Mero and KM and get some advice, as Erion wants to know that in his last post on Monday, he should state without giving too many details how much was demanded for his head. He tells him that he has witnesses to this, Dokushi, Isuf Berberi and Myslym Murrizi.

3- Veliaj asks Arbri to meet with Meron because Erioni needs advice on publishing the news.

4-At 11:05, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbër. The latter tells him that he talked to "comrade M" and told him that it is a disappointing and not good move, because first the denunciation should be made, then by the witnesses, then by you (Erioni). Erion Veliaj tells him that he should talk to KM, not to others, and asks him to tell him that he is ready to prove it and show the three witnesses that his head is worth that much.

5-At 11:09, ErionVeliaj talks to Ajola and asks him to talk to KM and tell him that Erion has this information. 3-Në datën 08.03.2025 në orën 11:09, Erion Veliaj bisedon me Arbrin në lidhje me takimin me avokatët amerikanë, për të cilën Arbëri i thotë se ditën e hënë do të organizojë një takim me avokatët amerikanë(nënkupton në IEVP Durrës).Erioni e pyetën Arbrin se si ka mundësi është bërë publike kontrata me Amerikanët, bashkë me shumën, për të cilën Arbrin thotë se ka kaluar në shumë institucione dhe është transparente.

4-Në orën 20:41, Erioni bisedon me Arbërin dhe i thotë se është shumë e rëndësishme që të kemi mbështetjen e Redaktorit. Arbëri i shprehet se i kanë thënë që e kanë mbështetjen.

Në vijim, Erioni i kërkon të bisedojë me Meron dhe me të gjithë ata,se nuk duhet të perceptohet që e kanë lëshuar veten tani në fund. Erioni i thotë: ?Fol një cik me Fatmirin dhe me të tjerët, të gjithë ushtrinë?.

5- Në datën 09.03.2025 në orën 11:58, Erioni bisedon me Arbërin dhe ky i fundit i kërkon të mos përmendë emra në bisedë.Erioni i thotë në gjuhë angleze se ka vetëm një ditë, dhe nëse nuk fitojnë, do të jetë këtu (IEVP) për një kohë të gjatë. I kërkon që avokatët të përgatiten mirë, me argumenta, me amerikanët. Konkretisht, Erioni shprehet: ?We have only one day? ?One day edhe if We don?t Win im gonna be here along time?

6-Në orën 11:59, Erioni bisedon me Ajolën, të cilës i thotë se po shikonte lajmet dhe ka parë që një nga Gjykata e Lartë ishte tërhequr një nga gjyqtarët për rekursin e saj. Sipas bisedës, Erioni thotë se është tërhequr për shkak të konfliktit të interesave, por i kërkon mos të përmendë emra.Erioni i thotë se mos të harrojë, të martën ose është këtu për një kohë të gjatë, ose do të dalë, kshu që e dini vetë çfarë duhet të bëni.

7-Në orën 18:53, Erion Veliaj bisedon me Ajolën, të cilës i thotë se në orën 19:00 do të shfaqet nëi ntervistë te Euroneës,dhe prandaj i telefonon shpesh në këto orare,pasi në IEVP mbyllin telefonat, i fikin dhe nuk i lënë të komunikojnë.Erioni i thotë se kështu ka ndodhur edhe kur ka dhënë intervistën te Report TV apo te Top-i.

8-Në vijim të komunikimit, Ajola i tregon se ka gjyqin për Qerretin dhe sekuestrot dhe i tregon se pasi të mbarojë gjyqi, bashkë meErmirin do të shkojnë ta takojnë.

Më pas, Ajola i thotë se në gjyqin e të martës atë nuk e lënë që të marrë pjesë. Në orën20:41, Erioni bisedon me Arbërin, dhe sipas bisedës Arbri i tregon se në orën dy mbërrijnë amerikanët,e do shkojnë direkt te IEVP Durrës./ CNA

Wiretaps on page 74

1-Erion Veliaj talks to his brother Arbër Veliaj and asks him if his posts appear in the editorial of the newspaper Tema or Shqiptarja, to which Arbër answers yes.

2-At 1:02 PM, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbër, who asks him if he has submitted his post, because he will see it published in the News. Arbër Veliaj tells him that he is still waiting, while Erion asks Arbër to send him a Reminder.

3-At 13:29, Erion Veliaj talks to Ajola, to whom he tells her that he has written a status with Arbri and asks her to ask Renato or Maznik where to catch the 15:00 news, as he wants to keep everyone's spirits up, implying the big media campaign. He asks her to encourage them a little, as he knows that his writings go to the Editor.

4-At 18:36, ErionVeliaj talks to his brother, Arbri, where they discuss the question-and-answer section. According to the communication, something happened and they didn't make it in time to do it. Likewise, Arbri tells him that they will appear at Grida's tonight for dinner where they will be with a question-and-answer session. Arbri asks Erjon to do more questions-and-answers, so that they won't be late tomorrow. According to the conversation, before the publication of the "question-and-answer session", Arbri receives another confirmation from someone who is not mentioned in the conversation.

5-At 18:52, Erion Veliaj talks to Ajola, who asks her to talk to Albin and the latter to talk to Visi and Lori, after he has given some answers to Grida about the show that will air today and asks them not to ridicule him since he is in prison and to keep that in mind before making fun of him in the studio.

6- ErionVeliaj asks Arbër Veliaj to continue the media campaign, by making special news oriented by him. Wiretaps on page 75

1-Erion Veliaj talks to Ajola, asks that the lawyers come out publicly in a statement that he is fighting his battle only with ballots. He asks Ajola to have Maks Haxhia come out in a statement tomorrow.

2-Veliaj talks to Arbër, whom he asks to talk to Fuga and let him know that Veliaj's psychological state in detention is not good and that they should engage as if it were the last blow (everything you got-this shot). Arbër Veliaj tells him that he has talked and made it clear to them. Next, Erion asks that Fuga and Arbër take action strongly because "this is the week". 4-Date 01.03.2025. At 20:16, Erion Veliaj asks his brother, Arbri, if he has spoken to everyone he had left messages with, since next week will be "attack week" (Appeal week), telling him that he will still continue the public battle, which means his media campaign. Arbri tells him of course he has and that the media has been very, very engaged.

5-On March 2 at 12:32, Erion Veliaj talks to Ajola Xoxa, expressing that he feels a little upset, that he has been in detention for some time and is afraid whether they have forgotten him or not. Then, he tells her that he is waiting for the date (meaning the Appeal) to be announced so that he can get oriented.

Wiretaps on page 76

1-Veliaj speaks with his brother Arbër Veliaj who advises him not to show up at the court session so as not to make a fuss. Veliaj says to think it over with others and consult with the editor.

2-Veliaj speaks with Ajola, asks him to know about the confrontation between Etjen Xhafaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama, regarding the statements against SPAK.

3-During the communication between them, Erion continues and asks him to ask the Editor what he should do for Tuesday. Then Arbër Veliaj intervenes in the communication, to whom he says that the Editor should be asked if he should go to the session on Tuesday, and he should get an answer about this.

4-On 03.03.2025 at 20:08, Erion Veliaj talks to Ajola, but at one point in their communication, Arbëri intervenes. Wiretaps on page 77

1-Veliaj asks Arbri to sponsor articles against SPAK and prosecutors.

Wiretaps on page 78

1-Veliaj talks to Ajola and asks him to talk to Albin of "Dita", because Geri Kokalari has done a great interview on Report TV, he asks him to give priority to his interview. Erioni tells him that his interview will be published by two or three newspapers, maybe even Tema. He asks him to talk to Mero and Albin about this.

 2- Veliaj insists on distributing the interview on Report TV, asks to connect it with Tema and the Dita newspaper so that they give it attention, as Shqiptarja will definitely do it.

For the past 4 days, CNA has been reporting wiretaps taken from the Durrës prison cell where Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj is being held.

Today we will bring the first 5 pages of wiretaps from Durrës prison where, although behind bars, Veliaj deals with scenarios, manipulation and directs the media and the owners of the television stations that serve him by posting his materials or attacking the prosecutors and judges who have dealt with his case.

On page 69, several points are highlighted:

1-Mayor Erion Veliaj wants to continue the media campaign with regular updates, day after day, to maintain the rhythm.

2-In the conversation with Ajola Xoxa, Veliaj appears extremely panicked as he is being subjected to controls by order from above and for this he accuses the Ministry of Justice and says what message this is.

3- Ajola Xoxa is summoned to the US Consulate in Tirana and Veliaj tells her not to go because when Aleksi (who is suspected to be Alex Soros) arrives, things will be sorted out.

4-Veliaj manipulates witnesses. Ajola informs him that she is concerned about the summons to the Prosecutor's Office of her mother Valbona Xoxa and her uncle Erlad Simixhiu. Veliaj teaches Ajola what Ajola's mother and uncle should say before the Prosecutor's Office.

5- Erion Veliaj sets in motion the General Council of the Chamber of Advocates against ILD.

Interceptions: Highlights of page 70

1-Veliaj speaks with his brother Arbër Veliaj and asks to continue the media campaign.

2-On February 21, 2025, Veliaj speaks to his brother Arbër Veliaj and expresses concern that he has been told to pack his bags to be transferred to another prison. He asks him to call Mero Bazen and GS to deal with Justice Minister Ulsi Manjë and tell him enough is enough, you have gone too far.

3-Ajola Xoxa talks to Erion Veliaj and tells him that the prosecutor has informed him that another charge will be added to him, which Erion says is ridiculous. Ajola asks him to tone down his tone, but Veliaj says to forget about the prosecutor, he will tear him to pieces every day. 6- At 19:35 in the communication between Ajola Xoxa and Erion Veliaj, the latter asks about Mero with friends as well as (KM). Ajola Xoxa replies that she has spoken to everyone and everyone is working so hard that she has no idea. She tells him that she has spoken (with KM) today and yesterday. Highlights of page 71

5- On 24.02.2025, at 12:48, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbri, where the topic of discussion is the statement alleged by him, that the Prosecutor has mentioned the word "filth". Erion Veliaj asks everyone to engage in this matter, mentioning Mero, Maks Haxhia, from whom he asks for a reaction and for everyone to stand up massively. He asks him to engage portals, and other things. "Yes, you should raise "you should raise hell" old man, we have it, he made a spectacular blunder there."

1-At 2:47 PM, during the conversation with Arbri, Erion Veliaj asks for a picture showing the television stations that are covering and supporting his Media War.

 He tells him that TOP is covering us, Report TV is covering us, Klani is covering us, but Klan News" Arbër Veliaj replies that there is a problem with them, meaning Klan News. Erion Veliaj asks him if Fuga has talked to them, which is confirmed by Arbër. Erion Veliaj asks him to tell him how good Erion was, he was with him every day, and he should talk because today he should. 4- This page talks about the audio again, at 15:33, Erion Veliaj calls Ajola, and the latter tells him that they have the transcript and are working on it, cleaning up the audio. Erion Veliaj asks him not to give details on the phone, just to tell him that he is dealing with this matter.

5- He tells him that there is news again that they may be transferred to Alcatraz prison (another IEP) and says that he does not know who is talking to the friends of Justice, since the personnel at IEPD Durrës are informing them that places are opening up for transfer. He explains that this is very dirty, because according to him, he has been deprived of many rights and it would be excessive if he went to a more serious prison.

6-At 4:00 PM, Erion Veliaj inquires again about the transcription and cleaning of the audio of the court session, and Ajola, in conversation with him, confirms that they have an answer.

7- On 23.02.2025 at 11:59, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbri, whom he asks to talk to Shqiptarja, to Tema, to do an interview every day and to produce materials for the portals. He then asks him to tell Karlo or Mira that if they ask him five questions, Erion will answer them, and in this way they do slightly longer interviews every two or three days, because there is no other way to cope with what is happening.

8- At 14:18, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbri, to whom he tells the news that has already come out about Thoma Gëllçi and that a "Big Deal" should be made because it is clear who they should refer to.
