The well-known conductor Sirri Rroji has passed away today. The news was announced by his son, Grid Rroji, through a post on the Facebook social network.

Between the lines, while describing the artistic life of his father, Grid Rroji emphasizes that the funeral will take place in Tirana, where the conductor left him.

Dear friends,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that my father, Conductor Sirri Rroji, passed away this morning.

Dad was an extraordinary man, energetic like few others, a born organizer, a loyal and honest friend.

Babi pati një karrierë profesionale të plotë: drejtues i ansablit të Ushtrisë dhe i Estradës së Ushtarit, themelues dhe drejtor artistik i Festivalit të Ushtarit, themelues i Shkollës Frymore të Ushtrisë, dirigjent i Festivalit të 8të në RTSH, themelues i Bandës Frymore të Tiranës, profesor i shumë brezave të artistëve tek Liceu i Natës, themelues i Ansamblit Artistik Tirana, me të cilin fitoi Eurofanfarë 1991 dhe u përzgjodh drejtues i 23 Fanfarave Europiane, autor i librit mbi historinë e Bandës së Tiranës "Orkestra Frymore e Tiranës: një jetë plot emocione", fitues i çmimeve ndërkombëtare në Festivalet e Euaza de Lamaison dhe Villefranche de Rouergue në Francë, i dekoruar nga Ministria e Kulturës dhe Ministria e Mbrojtjes për kontributin e tij të çmueshëm për artin shqiptar.

Sipas amanetit të tij varrimi do të bëhet në Tiranë.
