After a long battle with the disease, the well-known director from Kosovo, Vjosa Berisha, passed away.

The news was announced by her husband Fatos Berisha, who writes that Vjosa, who was receiving treatment at the 'University College Hospital' in London, passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Vjosa Berisha was the founder of the PriFilmFest festival, the 14th edition of which is scheduled for July 26-30.

E diplomuar në master të Arteve në Media dhe Komunikim nga Universiteti i Ëestminster, Londër në Mbretërinë e Bashkuar dhe me një diplomë pasuniversitare në Diplomaci Bashkëkohore nga Universiteti i Maltës, në Maltë, Vjosa Berisha ka pasur përvojë mbi 20 vjet në industrinë e filmit.

Që nga viti 2013-të, Vjosa Berisha është gjithashtu anëtare e Akademisë Evropiane të Filmit.

Gjithashtu ajo ishte producente e dy filmave artistikë, "Cirku Fluturues" (2019) me skenaristin dhe regjisorin Fatos Berisha dhe bashkëprodhoi filmin artistik maqedonas "The Happiness Effect" (2019) me regjisorin Borjan Zafirovski. Ajo ka punuar në shumë projekte për marrëdhënie me publikun dhe media, duke udhëhequr shumë fushata të suksesshme komerciale, politike dhe ndërgjegjësuese.
