Two years after the death of the historian, politician, writer, archaeologist, Moikom Zeqos, he is remembered by friends, colleagues and politicians for his contribution in many fields.

Anyone who spoke about him did not leave without mentioning the almost prophetic avant-garde opinion about the events in the social and political life in Albania, which Moikomi always preceded.

His friend Enver Kushi, a writer, recounts the correspondence they once had.

“Ka një letër shumë interesante ku mes të tjerave më shkuan: “është janari i viteve 1973” më përshkruan rrugët e Tiranës, duket sikur parandjeu me një mimozë e cila ka stinën për të çelur por po thahet dhe ai mendon që do vijnë ca stinë të tjera që dhe kjo mimozë do thahet, pra do thahet krijimtaria. Do goditen shkrimtarë, artistë, njerëz me ndikim në kulturë, dhe kështu ndodhi nëse mund ta quaj profeci e Moikomit ajo doli.”

Kontributi ishte i gjithanshëm, dhe sot çdokush që ishte i pranishëm është shprehur se sa shumë i mungon një mendje e tille jetës kulturore në Shqipëri.

On June 3, 1949 in Moikom was born Moikom Zeqo, who during his life served as MP, Minister of Culture, director of the national historical museum, and author of many works in poetry, essays, archaeological studies and art history. /CNA.al
